The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with exquisite antiques and a comfy bed. The highlight was definitely the delicious breakfast, served by a friendly and knowledgeable hostess. The scenic river view added to the overall charm of the hotel. It felt like having breakfast at a rich uncle's mansion.

The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful, and the antique furnishings were gorgeous. The view over the river was also a lovely touch. The bedsheets were incredibly soft and comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. the continental breakfast was fresh and satisfying, with a good variety of options available.
Some of the furnishings were dusty, and there was a musty smell emanating from the heaters when they were running. The ensuite bath was quite small, which may be unpleasant for larger individuals.

The antique furnishings and small kitchenette were a delightful touch. the owner was friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, especially considering the struggles I have with stairs. the history of the location and surrounding area was fascinating and added to the experience.
Although warned about it prior to arrival, the ensuite bathroom was quite small and unusable for larger individuals. the continental breakfast was somewhat lackluster for the price charged.

We recently stayed at a charming hotel nestled in the heart of a historical region. The hotel's location, just outside the bustling city center, offered a peaceful retreat. We were pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail and interesting furnishings throughout the downstairs rooms, which added a unique touch to our stay. Moreover, the staff were exceptional - the owner was attentive and engaging, the chief cook and cleaner was personable, and another employee was always available to assist us. The hotel's breakfast was fresh, sufficient, and served by a friendly and knowledgeable hostess.
All was in order, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

The hotel is located on the river, offering a scenic view and a peaceful atmosphere. The estate is grand and filled with exquisite antiques, giving it a unique charm. The bed in our spacious room was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Additionally, the breakfast provided great value for money, with delicious options to choose from.
There was one aspect that could be improved upon. The TV in the room was outdated and in need of an upgrade.

For an overnight stay on our way home, this hotel is conveniently located close to the ferry. being on the opposite side of the river from the noisy downtown area ensures a peaceful stay.
One negative aspect was that the bathroom door didn't close properly and there was no warm water in the shower.

We stayed at a charming B&B located just a block away from the river. Our restful room was wonderfully spacious with helpful literature and a comfortable bed. the proprietor was personable and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories about the region's Mi'kmaq and Acadian history. We enjoyed a delightful continental breakfast served on the sunny porch by a friendly and knowledgeable hostess. We appreciated the historic elements, including the authentic long, narrow room key. It was the perfect location to experience the area's charm and warmth.
The bathroom was a bit small for some guests.

Great value for the money - comfortable room, friendly staff, and fascinating history in the area. The location was peaceful and away from the noise of downtown. The staff, especially the proprietor Mike, were welcoming and knowledgeable.
The morning meal could have been more substantial, offering more options for the price.

The location is stunning, nestled in a tranquil bay with beautiful furnishings throughout the downstairs rooms. The hospitality of the host was delightful, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was incredibly spacious, feeling more like a private apartment with its own sun room. The attention to detail in the decor was impressive, with a great selection of books, CDs, DVDs, and even a piano available. Additionally, the proximity to Beaubears Island NHS was a bonus, just a short 5-minute drive away.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.
